1. Understanding the “Review Sources” section in rankingCoach

The “Review Sources” section in rankingCoach offers a powerful feature that centralizes the monitoring and management of your business's customer reviews. This feature gathers reviews from various online platforms and displays them in one convenient location, helping you stay on top of customer feedback. Extended review sources are currently exclusively available to rankingCoach 360 users.

The expanded Review Sources feature brings together feedback from:

  • The two major platforms: Google and Facebook.

  • Popular review sites, including Trustpilot, Yelp, Booking.com, Expedia, and more.

  • Industry-relevant online directories, such as GoYellow, YellowMap, and Cylex.

  • Reviews that have been collected via the widget on your website.

All of these sources can be found in the dashboard under “Web Reputation” → “Review Sources”. Once you connect them, your latest reviews will automatically appear in the “Reviews” menu, keeping you informed and enabling faster responses.

2. How do I connect and manage my review sources?

The connection and reply options vary slightly depending on the source. However, the process remains straightforward. Each review source will display one of the following statuses:

  • “Displaying reviews”: The connection was successful, and the reviews are visible.

  • “Fetching reviews”: We’re gathering your latest reviews from this platform.

For Google Business Profile and Facebook:

As fully integrated partners, reviews from these platforms are fetched automatically once your rankingCoach account is linked to your business profiles.

For Yelp, Trustpilot, Booking.com, etc.:

These platforms require a manual connection. Once added, rankingCoach will begin fetching your latest reviews.

For reviews from the Review Collector widget:

Reviews generated via the widget on your website are automatically integrated and displayed in rankingCoach. For detailed instructions on using the widget, see our article: “Use rankingCoach’s Reputation Widgets to showcase and boost your reviews”

For online directories such as YellowMap, GoYellow, and Cylex:

If you use our directory publishing feature, more sources will be unlocked automatically. Once your business profile is published, we will automatically detect and display new review sources for your business. Learn more about managing your directory listings here: “Managing Your Online Directory Listings in rankingCoach”

3. Highlight important sources as favorites

You can select up to 5 favorite review platforms in your account. These platforms are highlighted throughout the rankingCoach application, including features like Review Booster and Widgets. This allows you to quickly showcase and focus on the platforms that are most important to your business’s reputation.

Google Business Profile and Facebook are pre-selected by default and cannot be changed. Then, you can choose 3 additional sources based on where your business receives the most or the most important reviews. Depending on its integration level, a platform that is only available for viewing (e.g., online directories) may not be selectable as a favorite.

4. Access, reply to, and gain insights from reviews after connecting

After connecting your preferred review sources, we will begin pulling your latest reviews into your dashboard under “Web Reputation” → “Reviews”. Depending on the platform, new reviews may appear within hours or take longer.

Whether or not you can reply directly from the rankingCoach application depends on the source.

  • For Google Business Profile and Facebook: If they are connected, you can reply to reviews from these platforms directly within the application. Our AI Assistant can help you craft suitable replies that you can publish instantly. You can also activate the AI Assistant to automatically reply to reviews.

  • For Yelp, Trustpilot, etc.: You can use our AI Assistant to generate a reply within the application. Then, you will need to copy the generated text and paste it into the original source platform to publish it.

  • For published Online Directories (e.g., YellowMap, GoYellow, Cylex): Some allow replies, while others do not. We’ll show you the option if it’s available. Similar to manually connected platforms, our AI Assistant can help you draft replies. Next, copy the reply from rankingCoach and paste it directly into the original directory platform to publish it.

  • For the “Collect Reviews” widget: The process depends on which review source you selected to use in the widget on your website. If you selected Facebook or Google, you can reply directly through rankingCoach. However, if you selected Trustpilot or Yelp, you will have to copy your reply and be redirected to the original source.

Beyond managing replies, tracking your reviews can provide valuable insights into your online reputation. This powerful feature organizes all your customer feedback in one place, giving you the control you need to effectively manage and enhance your business’s online reputation.
