Summary
1. Will I lose all of my progress if I stop using rankingCoach?
No, you will not lose all of your progress once you stop using rankingCoach. This includes On-page SEO adjustments in your website builder, such as headings, meta titles, or page structure, as well as Off-page optimizations such as backlink building. Your listings in online directories, published social media posts, and customer reviews also remain. The only thing that will immediately stop is your Google Ad Campaign.
However, it is important to note that SEO is a dynamic process that requires constant adjustments. Without regular monitoring and optimization, your site may fall behind the competition and lose visibility. To ensure long-term success, keep an eye on how your SEO efforts are progressing and make adjustments as needed.
2. What will happen to my rankings?
Canceling your rankingCoach subscription does not mean that you will lose all the improvements you have made to your website thanks to the rankingCoach tasks. Your website will remain optimized as it is and your rankings will not immediately drop once you deactivate your account.
However, remember that your online presence is dynamic and will fluctuate over time, just like your search rankings. If you want to remain visible in search results, you must monitor your rankings and adjust your SEO strategy accordingly.
When you cancel your subscription, you will no longer have access to your keyword list, task progress, keyword ranking reports or any other data available in your rankingCoach account. We will also stop monitoring your competitors' online activity and notifying you in the rankingCoach RADAR feed every time something worthy of your attention happens. In the long run, this can lead to you missing a drop in your rankings or an opportunity to adjust your strategy and maintain your visibility.
3. What will happen to my listings in the online directories?
Once your rankingCoach account is deactivated, your business entries are put on “inactive”, which means that we do not delete them, but we no longer update them for you. Your listings will remain, but they might lose consistency since they will not be updated. Remember that having the same company name, phone number and address all over the web is a very big trust factor for Google and consumers.
If you want to update your data, you will have to go manually through each profile and edit them. Before this, you will have to create an account on each specific directory and claim the listing. If you have created your Google Business Profile through rankingCoach, please follow the steps in this article to claim access to the listing rankingCoach created for you.
4. What will happen to my online reputation?
Deactivating your rankingCoach account also means that you are deactivating the radar functionality and the email notifications about new reviews. You will also no longer be able to centralize all of your reviews and answer them from one single platform.
Therefore, remember to check each of the rating platforms on which you are registered on a regular basis in order not to miss any reviews customers might have published on your profile. Unanswered negative reviews will affect the image of your company and scare new potential customers away.
5. What will happen to my Google Ads campaign?
As soon as your rankingCoach account is deactivated, your Ads will no longer be displayed in the search results. You might therefore notice a big drop in your website’s traffic as Ads are always displayed on top of the search results and drive a lot of new visitors to your website.
Please note that if you decide to cancel your subscription, your active Ads will remain active until your contract has expired. If you no longer want your Ads to be displayed in the search results, you can pause your campaign at any time in the “Google Ads” section of your account.
